Introduction
The question is often asked, when will Iraq (or the Middle East at large) be
considered ready to fend for itself? Some would say it is when their Armed Forces
are in a suitable state to win a conflict - well that hasn't happened in the last 3 wars
they've fought, so that's probably asking too much.
Others would say it is when they can accept democratic decisions and live in a
harmonious and tolerant society. Hello? What planet are those people on? The
various religious, tribal and political sects in the Middle East have been killing the
crap out of each other for thousands of years' so far, so we at Small Monkey
Productions don't think that is too likely to change anytime soon either.
We think that the best indication that Iraq is ready to accept at least some degree
of 'The American Way' is when they take up one of the US of A's favourite sports.

As soon as the Arabs start suing each other, we'll know that our job is done, and
